Asset Overview
Awarded in the 26th licensing round to Fairfield and its partner Bayerngas, Fairfield’s “Ensign Flank” exploration acreage Licence P1908 comprises Blocks 48/8d,48/9b and 48/14c and is located immediately to the northwest of Centrica’s Ensign Field. The blocks are located in the main Rotliegend play fairway and pre-licence round analysis identified 3 related prospects containing up to 850bcf of gas in place. Following award of the acreage in early 2012 Fairfield is now reprocessing existing 3D seismic across the blocks to provide a consistent data set from which detailed prospect analysis will be carried out. The blocks are favourably located with respect to existing infrastructure.
Dunlin
Fairfield acquired 70% of Dunlin in 2008 and it is now operated in conjunction with duty holder Amec.
