Andrew Hockey - General Manager, Joint Ventures & New Business
Andy is responsible for joint ventures and new business opportunities within Fairfield. He has worked in the energy industry for more than 25 years, initially as a petroleum geologist and subsequently as an asset manager. Andy joined Fairfield from Eni in Milan where he worked on the Kashagan Project between 2002 and 2005. Before joining Eni, Andy was responsible for LASMO’s portfolio in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Prior to this he was employed in the capacity of Exploration Manager, Algeria, for Monument and North Africa/Greece Project Leader for Triton. The first 15 years of Andy’s career were spent with PetroFina, split between the UK North Sea and international postings in Singapore, Vietnam, Australia and Belgium. Andy has a BA Honours in Geology from Worcester College, Oxford University and an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London University. In 2011 Andy became a non-executive director of Sound Oil plc, an AIM listed Exploration and Production company with assets in Italy and Indonesia. In 2012 Andy became non-executive chairman of Sound Oil plc, an AIM listed Exploration and Production company with assets in Italy and Indonesia.
John Wiseman - General Manager, Dunlin Area
John is responsible for management of the Dunlin Area assets. He has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 30 years, initially in offshore topsides and subsea operational roles and subsequently in a variety of Onshore Engineering, Project management and Operations functional leadership roles. John joined Fairfield after spending the majority of his career in BP where latterly he had a broad remit as Head of Projects, Logistics and Turnarounds. John held a number of managerial roles between 1999 and 2010 including Facilities Development Team Leader (Forties), N.Sea JV Manager for Facilities and Operations, and Manager of Engineering and Ops Excellence where he was BP N.Sea’s Operational Functional Lead. John returned to BP in 2011 to lead up the Transfer of Operatorship of BP’s Wytch Farm and Southern Gas businesses to the incoming Operator. John has a BSc in Engineering Science from Aberdeen University and is a Chartered Engineer with the Mechanical Engineering Institute.
