Ian Sharp, Chief Operating Officer
Ian Sharp is Fairfield’s Chief Operating Officer. Ian started his career at Britoil as a Petroleum Engineer before moving to Hamilton Oil Co. (later BHP Petroleum) as Regional Manager for SH&E. He then joined PGS Atlantic Power where he was Operations Manager for Premier Oil in Jakarta before returning to the North Sea to be Operations Manager, CNS Asset for Kerr McGee. Whilst with Kerr McGee Ian held a number of production managerial positions culminating in Director Production. Prior to joining Fairfield he was Director UK Operations and General Manager for Nexen Petroleum UK Ltd. Ian has a MA Geography with Geology from Aberdeen University
Garvey Anderson, General Manager, Dunlin Area
Garvey is the Dunlin Area Asset Manager. He has more than 20 years’ experience working in technical, commercial, marketing and management positions with ExxonMobil and Shell. His in-depth UK experience is drawn from roles including Offshore Installation Manager, Reservoir Manager, New Business Development Manager and Chief Executive of Mobil Gas Marketing. This is complemented by broad international experience in senior management roles across Europe, the US, Russia, Japan and the Caspian.
Neil Fowler – General Manager, Operated Developments
Neil is responsible for Fairfield’s operated developments. Trained as a petroleum engineer, Neil has worked for 25 years on behalf of Exploration and Production companies on many of the North Sea’s major fields. From 2004–2006 he served as Production Director for CNR International, managing production across a portfolio of operated assets in the UK and West Africa. Neil also worked with Shell Europe from 2002–2004 as a technical manager with a remit for production optimisation across the Shell UK portfolio. Prior to Enterprise’s acquisition by Shell in 2002, he spent ten years with Enterprise Oil working in various production management roles, both onshore and offshore.
Andrew Hockey – General Manager, Joint Ventures & New Business
Andy is responsible for Fairfield’s joint ventures and new business opportunities. Andrew has worked in the energy industry for more than 25 years, initially as a petroleum geologist and then as an asset manager. Andrew joined Fairfield from Eni in Milan where he worked on the Kashagan Project from 2002–2005. Before joining Eni, Andrew was responsible for LASMO’s portfolio in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Prior to this he was Exploration Manager, Algeria, for Monument and North Africa/Greece Project Leader for Triton. The first 15 years of Andrew’s career were spent with PetroFina, split between the UK North Sea and international postings in Singapore, Vietnam, Australia and Belgium.
