The Environment
Fairfield’s Environmental Management Policy recognises that our activities interact with the natural environment in many ways, and sets out the means by which we achieve our commitment to responsible environmental management through a long term approach.
Key activities include:
- Maintenance of an environmental management system in accordance with BS-EN-ISO 14001:2004. Our current certification can be viewed here: ISO 14001 Certificate_Fairfield Energy;
- Managing emissions according to the principles of Best Available Techniques (BAT);
- Conducting environmental impact assessments for our field development projects and assets;
- A Board Sub-committee that convenes periodically in order to provide governance, leadership and assurance for environmental matters
In accordance with the requirements of the Oslo-Paris Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North East Atlantic (OSPAR), we publish an annual public statement on environmental performance:
