The Environment
The Environmental Management Policy Statement, which is signed by the Chief Executive and endorsed by the Main Board of directors, sets out our commitment to undertake our operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
The Policy Statement is part of the Fairfield strategic vision for H,S&E and is intended to provide a clear declaration of commitment, together with a brief summary of the principal means by which this is to be achieved.
Key activities specified in the Environmental Management Policy Statement include :
- A Board H,S&E Sub-Committee of non-executive directors is appointed to provide governance and assurance of H,S&E policy and performance.
- Environmental impacts are assessed for our field development proposals, oil and gas production operations and projects.
- Environmental emissions are managed in accordance with the principles of best environmental practice and techniques, and monitored and reported in accordance with the conditions of our operating licences.
- Findings from investigation, review and audit provide in order to enable continual improvement in environmental performance.
Our Environmental Management System is maintained in accordance with the internationally recognised standard BS-EN-ISO 14001:2004 and is independently audited and certified. Our current certification can be viewed here: ISO 14001 Certificate_Fairfield Energy
We also publish an annual statement of environmental performance in accordance with the Oslo Paris Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North East Atlantic (OSPAR). Our reports can be viewed here :
