The Fairfield Board is represented by three highly experienced oil & gas industry professionals with varied discipline backgrounds and areas of expertise, united by a long history with Fairfield Energy and a drive to ensure safe and effective business outcomes.

The Fairfield Energy Board is collectively responsible for promoting the success of the Company by providing entrepreneurial leadership within a framework of prudent and effective controls which enable risk to be assessed and managed, setting the Company’s strategic aims whilst ensuring the necessary financial and human resources are in place, and for driving the appropriate values and standards.

John Wiseman

John joined Fairfield in 2012 in the role of Dunlin Asset General Manager and headed up the project to assume full Operatorship of the Greater Dunlin Area when duty holder responsibility was transferred from Amec Foster Wheeler to Fairfield Betula. In early 2016, he assumed the role of Managing Director with direct accountability for the Fairfield organisation and the safe and successful completion of the Greater Dunlin Area Decommissioning Project. In December 2021, John left the full time employment of the Company but now serves as a Non-Executive Director. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, he has a BSc in Engineering Science from the University of Aberdeen and has participated in executive training including BP’s Projects and Engineering Academy at MiT / Sloan. John has circa 40 years of upstream Oil and Gas experience, 31 of which were with BP Exploration in senior Line Management and Operations/Engineering function leadership roles. His last BP assignments were to lead the transition of Operatorship of certain BP UK Producing assets to new owners.
